Heirloom Boulder Opal Bolo (Approx $3174 USD)
An absolute chunkkkkkkk of opal and silver! This handcrafted bolo features 3 solid, Australian Boulder Opals. The centrepiece opal is akin to the coastlines here in Aus. The beautiful sands, moving through light blue shallow waters, out into the deep blue. The bolo tips have been hand crafted and feature a split pair of boulder opals from the same rock. Split pairs are where a vein of opal has been split open, with each side a mirror image of eachother - truly special! The natural colour leather has been chosen to match the colours in the opal. The clasp on the back is also handmade from thick 3mm round sterling silver wire.
She weighs a little over 145 grams total, and is approx 90cm in total length.
The 7mm leather cord can be swapped out to black for a small additional fee.
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.
*OPALS
Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
IMPORTANT: Opal jewellery should be treated with care when worn. It is important to note that they are a natural material and can be subject to cracking if they are knocked against something hard, or dropped.
