Boulder opal is known as the ‘Jewel of the Outback’. There are 11 pieces in this collection that have stones from the same opal rock, such as this one. They all feature this beautiful purple tone, with terracotta coloured lines. They are seriously some of the most quirky opals I have seen to date. This piece in particular is a huge statement piece you can cherish forever! They are all from Quilpie, QLD. The terracotta orange in here reminds me of the rich red outback soils - so it’s only fitting I gave them this name!

The ring features a hand beaten, tapered band that is 2cm wide. The ring face measures approx 2.5cm x 0.8cm.

Size: US 7.5 / UK O

Note: Ring bands over 7mm wide fit a half size smaller than the listed size.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.

*OPALS

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
