Opal Bolo Tie (Approx $475 USD)
Bolo ties are new at Mahkato Silver! This bolo features a huge chunk of solid boulder opal from Winton, QLD. It has a genuine leather cord, and handmade sterling silver clasp. The bolo ends are also sterling silver.
As the leather changes over time, or you want to swap the colour at a later date - the clasp is easily adjustable with a small pair of pliers. You can also apply leather conditioner to the leather to keep it in good condition.
Total length of cord from tip to tip:m 100cm (roughly 50cm when divided in half around the neck)
Opal face: 4cm x 3.3cm
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
