Spring Time Pink Opal Choker
Pink ‘opal’ is a prospectors name applied to a different variety of Mookaite that outcrops as a persistent bed of extremely bright pink opalised radiolarite near the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. Up until 20211, the only other known source of this stone was Peru - so it is super cool to have some Australian material brought to you in this piece. The colour is best described as a musky, dusty pink.
This choker has a handmade chain, and clasp. It features a beautiful, pink piece of pink opal, and is super easy to clasp together.
The chain is 37 cm long, and designed to sit quite high on the neck. You can clasp it shorter if necessary, but it cannot be made longer.
The stone setting is approximately 1.6cm x 2.4cm.
