AERIAL

This has got to be one of the most interesting boulder opals I have ever seen. From the Quilpie, QLD region, it has the most unusual and beautiful colours. It reminds me of an aerial shot as you fly into New Zealand over the mountains. Its very three dimensional, with lots of character coming from the ironstone under layer. The opal layer has an electric green/blue tinge to it.

The ring features a hand stamped double band that is 8mm wide. The ring face measures approximately 2cm x 0,7cm.

Size = US 8-8.5 / UK P-Q

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.

*OPALS

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
