Here we have, the most stunning pair of Boulder Opals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. This pair are seriously stunning, and unique matching pairs like this in the opal world do not come along very often! These earrings inspired me to have faith in the process - to believe that my work was worthy of such valuable stones. I hope they inspire you also, to have faith in whatever it is you are most passionate about. They are designed to hang quite low, but can be adjusted if necessary. For statement earrings, these are actually pleasantly lightweight because of the long earring hook that distributes the weight.
These are solid Boulder Opals from the Quilpie region of QLD and have the most beautiful purple colour that meets turquoise blue.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
