The Gorge Ring Sz 8.5
THE GORGE
This unique Boulder Opal from the ‘Fiery Comet’ mine in QLD has such a beautiful blue. It reminds me of my visit to the Hokitika Gorge, on the West Coast of New Zealand. The most breath taking blue water weaving through the gorge.
The ring features a hand stamped triple band that is 10mm wide. The ring face measures approximately 1.1cm x 2cm.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.
*OPALS
Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
