The Island Sunset Ring Sz 7.75 (Approx $1013 USD)

Reminiscent of my time spent on Lord Howe Island, - this one reminds me of the contrast between the teal blue ocean and pink sky after the sun sets. The way it casts a glow on the water. There is something about chunky jewellery that makes you feel alive. In one light it appears a sharp teal colour, but on other angles a beautiful pink glow comes over the stone.
This is a solid Boulder Opal from Quilpie, QLD.
It has a hand stamped signature Mahkato Silver band and is 12mm wide (thick bands are super comfy!). The ring face measures approximately 3.2cm x 1.7cm.
Size = US 7.75 / UK O 1/2
Ring bands that are over 7mm wide fit about half a size tighter. Definitely allow at least 1/2 size bigger for this ring in particular.
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.
