These beautiful Boulder Opals remind me of the outback - subtle earthy colours. This pair are an opal split pair, meaning that an opal vein in a boulder opal has been split into two pieces - each piece, giving a mirror image of the other. Opal split pairs with character like these are not easy to come by!

These earrings are moderate in weight - they definitely have some weight about them, but if you are used to wearing statement earrings like I am, these will be fine for you. If you have ear lobes that are sensitive to weight - check my other dangles out with smaller stones. These are designed to hang quite low.

These are solid Boulder Opals from Winton, QLD.

Length from top of earring hook to bottom of earring: 5cm

Width: 3cm

Opal face: 1.5cm x 1cm.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.

*OPALS

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
