With an extra large shield like shape, and a bold blue colour - this stone is the ultimate symbol of protection.
This beautiful boulder opal opal is solid, and comes from the Quilpie region of QLD.
It has a hand stamped signature Mahkato Silver band that is 13mm wide (thick bands are super comfy!). The ring face measures approximately 4cm x 2cm.
Size = US 7.25 / UK N 1/2
Ring bands that are over 7mm wide fit about half a size tighter.
Note: this stone is really big - please check the last photo of it places on my hand to ensure you like the size. I personally love it, and I have tiny hands!
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
