They say purple evokes creativity, and it definitely did for me when I was making these. The purple, the rose gold, the unique shape - they scream confidence! They are designed to hang quite low, but can be adjusted if necessary. For statement earrings, these are actually pleasantly lightweight because of the long earring hook that distributes the weight.
These are solid Boulder Opals from the Eromanga region of QLD and have the most beautiful purple colour that meets turquoise blue. The earrings are sterling silver, with 9ct rose gold accents (the middle of the trio if lined accents), and also the accent balls.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
