Winton is an opal mining town in outback Queensland, about 1400 kms from my home by the beach. A tonne of my opal comes from there, and the colours are always spectacular like this. I love the beauty of this violet purple with an ironstone mustard and pink tone in the left corner - it is truly beautiful.
This unique Boulder Opal is from Winton, QLD.
It has a hand stamped signature Mahkato Silver band that is 1.3cm wide (thick bands are super comfy!). The ring face measures approximately 2.5cm x 1.5cm.
Size = US 8.25 / UK P 1/2
NOTE: Ring bands that are over 7mm wide fit about half a size tighter than the listed size.
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.
