Beautiful purples and chunky bands - I think these are a match made in heaven! All of these purple pieces in this collection are from the very same rock of boulder opal from Winton, QLD - how cool?! This one is super pink!

Tufa is a porous rock that has been used for thousands of years in the jewellery making process, predominantly by Native Americans. These rings & cuffs have had a unique, one-off mould hand carved in tufa. Hot metal has then been poured into the mould to create these beautiful ring bands. Each band is 100% handmade by Kate. The bands also feature hand sawn details on the edges.

The ring features a tufa casted band that is solid .925 sterling silver. The band is 1.4cm wide. The ring face measures approximately 2.1cm x 1.5cm.

Size: US 8.5 / UK Q

Note: Ring bands over 7mm wide fit a half size smaller than the listed size. For this ring, I would allow up to 1/2 size, therefore fitting like an 8.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.

*OPALS

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.

IMPORTANT: Opal jewellery should be treated with care when worn. It is important to note that they are a natural material and can be subject to cracking if they are knocked against something hard, or dropped.
