CAMERON HUT

This ring takes me back to a very challenging walk into Cameron Hut. The reason I wanted to go to it - was because it has a wonderful purple door!! (see last. photo). When I was there, I sat on the step of the hut and planned out my collection. It was a challenging adventure, and a memorable moment I will cherish forever.

This ring features a striking purple pipe opal from the Winton area. With an ironstone host rock, it is very unique (the host rock of most pipe opal is sandstone, but it does occur in ironstone). This opal is solid.

The ring has a signature Mahkato band that is 10mm at its widest (thick bands are super comfy!). The ring face measures approximately 2cm x 1cm.

Size = US 8.5 / UK Q

Ring bands that are over 7mm wide fit about half a size tighter.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces. Kate likes to give the rings an oxidised (patina) finish. If you would prefer to have less Patina visible, please just send a request - it is easy to lessen this effect.

*OPALS

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
