This Boulder Opal has a pale bluey-green tone that lights up in the sun. This stunning boulder opal is from Winton, QLD.
Tufa is a porous rock that has been used for thousands of years in the jewellery making process, predominantly by Native Americans. These rings have had a unique, one-off mould hand carved in tufa. Hot metal has then been poured into the mould to create these beautiful ring bands. Each band is 100% handmade by Kate.
The ring features a tufa casted band that is solid .925 sterling silver. The band is 2cm wide on top and 1.2cm below at the arch. The ring face measures approximately 2.5cm x 1cm.

Note: Ring bands over 7mm wide fit a half size smaller than the listed size. For this ring, I would allow up to 1/2 size, therefore fitting like an 8.25.
All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine .925 Sterling Silver, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.
